My next full-scale theatrical music project is Dog Assassin, the musical version of the original play by long-time collaborator Stephen Schrum, featuring Amber’s monologue, from Dog Assassin, in One on One: Best Women’s Monologues for the 21st Century. (Joyce Henry, Bob Shuman, and Rebecca Dunn Jaroff, eds. NY: Applause Books, 2007, pp. 38-39).

 

A few years ag I found a copy of Carl Sandburg's book, "The American Songbag." As a blues performer and song collector, it was truly inspiring.

 

New songs are on the way, though listeners may be surprised at some of the results...
